Key Responsibilities:1. To work with the Education Department to develop, populate and maintain the Nord Anglia University and the Global Classroom moodle sites.2. To work with internal and external content experts to develop a range of professional development courses for staff, and short courses for students, to be delivered through moodle. This could include, but should not be restricted to:eating the layout of the instructional material, taking into account best practice instructional designrking with subject matter experts to shape the course content and, where appropriate, writing that contentveloping media (audio, visual, interactive) that aids teachers and students in their learning and ensures the courses are interesting and accessible.3. Once each course is written, to support a network of online tutors, coordinate and deliver aspects of training necessary to teach and tutor online and manage the day-to-day running of each course and associated assessments.4. Once each course has been completed by the participants, to provide technical support to organise evaluations of those courses and relevant tutors.5. To provide expertise in the effective use of moodle and other relevant learning technologies and to make the best use of technology to enhance staff and student learning whilst incorporating appropriate teaching methods.6. To be responsible for technical liaison with appropriate departments within Nord Anglia Education, for example the IT department or the marketing, communications and admissions department7. To support the use of moodle by, for example, developing audio visual learning objects, other communication technologies and exploring new technologies and plug-ins in moodle that can best support distance learning.8. To carry out any other duties, and be involved in any other relevant projects, which may be deemed necessary by the Education Departmentsuring that any material developed not only works in moodle, but makes the most of the technologies available through moodlepporting to plan and create assessments to measure if learning objectives are metKnowledge- Qualified to degree level or above in a relevant IT programme- Relevant postgraduate qualification- Can demonstrate a strong knowledge of the latest technical tools, applications and proceesses within e-learning that will place our work at the cutting edge of thinking and ahead of our competitorsExperience- Extensive experience of working with moodle- Experience of developing and maintaining e-learning resources for distance learning- Experience of developing assessments in e-learning resources to measure performance- Experience of evaluating e-learning programmes and using the data to improve future products- Experience in the use of media development software- Experience of working in further or higher education- Experience of managing external consultantsSkills – Able to learn new IT application swiftly – Able to generate and follow through innovative ideas- Excellent oral and written communication skills- Able to priorities, meet targets within deadlines and surpass expectations- Sound project management skills- Able to work both as part of a team and independently- Enthusiastic and self-motivated- Able to build and maintain effective relationship and networks
