你知道中国科学院118个院所（研究生培养单位）的旗帜都长什么样吗？
“五四”那天，中国科学院大学（简称“国科大”）2015级硕士研究生韩飞像往常一样走进雁栖湖校区图书馆大厅，一抬头，竟然发现四楼的过道护栏上，一夜之间挂满了五颜六色的旗帜。走上四层，他找到了他的培养单位中国科学院理化技术所的旗帜。
在这之前，他刚刚去参观了“中国科学院与两弹一星纪念馆”，此情此景，他不禁想到了那些前辈们当年在异常艰辛的条件下，依然坚守科研阵地的日夜拼搏。“每一面旗帜背后都承载着一段历史，它们是中国科学院不断成长的标志，更是中国科学发展历程的缩影”。那一刻，他突然有些激动，泪水浸满眼眶。韩飞为这100多个研究所感到震撼，“这都是中国科学界最顶尖的机构。在这些研究所的背后，我们能看到中国近现代以来，科学与技术艰难的发展历程。”韩飞说。
这里挂着的是中国科学院118个院所（研究生培养单位）的旗帜，同时还包括国旗、中国科学院院旗和中国科学院大学校旗，共121面旗帜。这是国科大校园文化建设的一项重要进展。

“发现中国科学院在国科大的影子”。谈起旗帜标识设计的初衷，国科大校园文化建设顾问范水先生说，“旗帜是引领，标识是图腾”。国科大是中国规模最大的培养研究生的高校，“科教融合”的体制决定了她是中国最特殊的大学，也是全世界独一无二的大学。按照国科大的“两段式”培养方式，中国科学院各研究所录取的研究生，入学第一年都要到国科大相关校区进行集中教学。
壮观的121面旗帜
每个研究所的旗帜都有自己独特的颜色和标识
“增强同学们对学校的认同感和归属感，也是这项工作的一个初衷”。国科大副校长杨国强说：“国科大在研究所里，研究所在国科大里，这些旗帜体现的就是一种‘科教融合、院所融合’的相互依存关系。图书馆是学校的精髓所在，最能代表一个大学的精神。因此，当初设计用旗帜表达‘科教融合’的理念时，首先就想到了图书馆这个‘落脚点’。”
接下来，就是征集各院所标识、根据院所特点设计旗帜颜色、选择更加庄重的“礼仪旗”样式、设计代表着“科学应该向前冲”的旗帜旗头、32°最佳悬挂角度……最终，这项工作在今年“五四”初见成果，旗帜全部挂上了旗杆。
